Playing golf on the Hans Merensky
Golf Course
very
often turn your golf vacation into an African wildlife safari with
game from the adjacent Kruger National Park wandering onto the golf course.
Experience real adventure golf.
The challenging 18 hole, Par 72 championship golf course, one of the Top
20 golf courses in South Africa, extends over a vast area of indigenous
fauna and flora, exotic watering holes and velvet greens.
This makes for an interesting day of golf were normal hazards of a championship
course are spiced up with some new additions like crocodile and hippo
lurking in the waters and sights such as giraffe, occasional lion and
various antelope are frequent in the surrounds.
Warthog wander
the course while you will often find giraffe and impala joining you
during your round of golf. The water holes are home to hippos and crocodile.
Even elephant,
leopard and cheetah have been seen on or near the golf course on occasion.
Staying at Kubukwena Golf Lodge
you will often hear the grunts of lion during the night.
Warning: The wildlife you may
encounter on the golf course is exactly that - wildlife. Do not try to confront
them, they are not tame animals as some people have discovered.
